Feeling proud!
The 2015 Tech Nation Report has just published and our region, Bristol & Bath, is named as the second largest digital tech cluster outside of London. And ... Health Apps Ltd is one of the 3 companies featured!
David Cameron and George Osborne discussed how quick the digital economy in the UK is growing. And they are also putting a lot of investment in digital solutions for health.
Health Apps have been recognised as playing an important role in providing digital health solutions. We are so happy to be creating technology that helps people manage or prevent illness, and generally make people's lives easier, happier and healthier!

Why home cooking is not just good for us, it's great for us!
We were at a meeting with Diabetes UK recently and we're looking into ways of encouraging more people to cook for themselves rather than eat ready meals and processed foods. There are so many reasons why it makes sense to cook from scratch. Here are some:
- It's healthier:
- It will help manage or prevent type 2 diabetes
- It could prevent other diseases eg. cardiovascular disease, some types of cancer
- It's fresher & tastier
- There are no hidden ingredients or chemicals
- You have control - e.g. for cottage pie make mash with half swede and half potato
- It's relaxing: put some music on while you’re cooking
- It's rewarding: create something amazing and impress your friends!
- It's sociable: share a meal with family or friends and have a good catch up.
- It's non-sedentary: put your step counter on and see how much you move around while your shopping, preparing, cooking and clearing up.

I was invited to write a guest blog for HANDIHealth, a fab charitable organisation that supports the architects of the digital health revolution. I was asked to describe what it's really like to be a health app developer. Glamorous? Well-paid? Maybe not ... Fulfilling? Challenging? Definitely! Have a read!
