For Immediate Release – 15th April 2016

Health Apps Secures Investment to Accelerate Growth

Health Apps – the Bristol based developer of mobile apps for healthy living - has raised £110,000 in new capital under SEIS (the Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme). The lead investor was Stephen Kirk, the founder and CEO of SKCI (SK Consulting & Investment Ltd.), who will join the board of Health Apps.

Health Apps is part of Bristol tech incubator WebStartBristol whose founder Mike Jackson will also join the Health Apps board. The current investment is part of a wider plan for Health Apps to accelerate the development of the market-leading Cook & Count app, and to introduce other complementary products.

Deborah Wilder, CEO of Health Apps, said ”I am really excited about this investment as it will allow us to move Health Apps to the next stage. Dietitians already know how important it is for people to have access to validated and accurate nutritional information and this investment will help us to spread the message further and grow the user-base for Cook & Count.”
